Hello Mike. My name is ***** ***** side of the trim unit is a manual tilt release # ***** There is a small hole on the stbd engine bracket with a slotted screw that is the manual release. Turn screw counter clockwise 3-4 turns. The engine should drop down you might have to push it down with a little help. http://www.marineengine.com/parts/evinrude-johnson-parts-diagrams/JOHNSON/46036.gif After the engine drops down try the trim it up. Does it trim up and down now?
