Hi Travis, my name is ***** ***** I will be helping you today.

Can you be more specific by what you mean by "still not pumping water"?

Is the engine overheating? Or is it running fairly cool but there is no stream from the pisser?

Also, Mercury makes 2, 3 and 4 cylinder 40hp engines, can I get the serial number on your engine so I can run it and see what you have. That way we are on the same page.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It is the 4 cylinder, I haven't ran it long enough to get it hot, it did not have any water coming out of the pisser so I replaced the impeller and I am still not getting any water out of the pisser. I will have to get the serial number at a later time.
Expert:  Jason replied 1 year ago.

Do you want to get the serial number and get back to me. Or do you want me to cover all the basis without a serial number?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Please cover the basis the best you can with out the SN it is a 1995 40 hp Mercury tracker pro series 4 cylinder 2 stroke.

Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

Are you getting any water out of the tell-tale when the motor is running?

How about any water out of the prop when the engine is running?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No water out of the tell-tale, I am getting water out of the exhaust.
Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

Ok,

Does the motor get hot when out on the water at all?

Was the old impeller still intact?
