Hello my name is ***** ***** am I speaking with?

What kinds of questions do you have?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi this is Jackie. The shift cable broke under the shifter. Is there a way to shift from the motor just to get back to ramp?
Expert:  Jason replied 1 year ago.

Hi Jackie.

Yes there is. What you would do is remove the engine cover. Pop the shift cable off the engine. Start it up. And then move the shift linkage on the engine by hand in order to shift it.

That being said, all Mercurys are cataloged by serial number. Get me the serial number on the engine, and I can get you some pictures of the shift linkage on the engine.

Expert:  Jason replied 1 year ago.

Are you still with me? Is the serial number something you have or can get?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
We are moving the gear shifter on the motor and nothing is happening
Expert:  Jason replied 1 year ago.

Is the engine running, or is the engine off?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It runs, seatow is on their way :/
