Hello, my name is***** will assist you.

The shifter connects directly to the shift rod. Remove pin 10, and 9 from the shift bracket. After that the handle can be pried out of the cowling. Oil the o-rings on the new handle and insert it into place. Install the 2 pin back in and you are done. It may be easier to get at if you remove the carb from the engine.

Did the link not work for you?

I already have part and picture I need find out what part need remove in order I remove pin9 pin10
Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

With 9 and 10 removed, the handle will now be able to come out of the housing. The o-rings do hold it in pretty well, so it may seem stuck.

It's this two bolt I remove ,below housing
Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.

Parts 9 and 10 are inside the engine cowling. Follow the rod from the shift handle, and you will see them.
