Hello my name is ***** ***** am I speaking with?
Do you have the actual model number of the engine handy?
That's not it. The model number will be on a tag on the clamp bracket. It will start with J25 and have more letters after it. That is what I need.
Hi Tony, got the model, give me 1 minute to run it.
Click this link to pull up a diagram, let me know when you have it up.
What you do first is remove the water intake grates, #30. Once those are off you will have access to the shift linkage. You access #49 through the intake grate. 49 is the shift rod nut. Back that off and the lower unit will drop. Does that make sense?
What is the problem, is the lower unit still not dropping?
83 is the shift shaft. 56 is the pump cover and 82 is the base plate. I don't quite follow you. If the lower unit is off then you won't need to touch 83.
Are you trying to get the pump cover off, is that what you are trying to do?
Nothing is standing out to me, I don't think you have to take that off. Can you send me a picture of it?
Everything we do is through the website. Do you see a paperclip icon above the text box that you type into?
Try clicking that and then select a picture file.
Hello, just checking in. Did you still need help with this?
