Customer Question

Question re 1992 Kawasaki jetski 750sx bogging.
WHen you give it quick throttle, it bogs and dies when you're actually riding it. On the trailer, no load, it accelerates fine. With slight water load (trailer backed into water) it hesitates then roars to life fine.

The pop off pressure in the carburetor needs to be set correctly. This controls how much fuel is fed to the high speed fuel circuit in the transition from the low speed fuel circuit to the high speed fuel circuit. The problem does not occur on the trailer because the carb is not running under load and therefore not running n the high speed circuit. This is a very fine adjustment and requires the use of a hand pressure pump to set. You need to find someone locally that is familiar with these carburetors, take the carburetor to them and they can do it very quickly.l
