Customer Question

Hi, I just replaced Voltage Regulator in 40 HP Mercury that had burnt out almost 2 years ago. I don't think that I made a mistake reconnecting it. The motor turns but it does not fire up. I got new gas in the tank but I didn't drain the old gas from gas lines (almost 2 years old). I tried several times and gave it a rest thinking that maybe the engine is flooded. I have feeling that I am missing something. Should I drain the lines and try again or is there something else that I should be doing?

Good morning, my name is ***** ***** am I speaking with.

The voltage regulator won't have anything to do with it.

Have you checked to see if the engine has any spark?
