I have a 2000 Silverton 351 Sedan with 7.4 Crusaders.

Customer Question

I have a 2000 Silverton 351 Sedan with 7.4 Crusaders. Intermittently my port engine will stall. Once it stalls it usually takes at least 5 attempts to start and to keep it running. Usually after this happens the engine will run without stalling again that day. The last two times out it did happen within the first 30 minutes of running. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel pump relay, all fuel filters, the electronic ignition, and distributor cap. Since this is an intermittent problem its been very difficult to solve

Hello my name is ***** ***** am I speaking with?

Are your engines EFI or carbureted?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
EFI

What you would need to start with is creating the problem, and then jumping in there with a timing light and a fuel pressure gauge. Hooking them both up. And then having a helper crank the engine over and see if you have fuel pressure, and see if you have spark. Is that something you can do?

I can

Sounds good. Let me know what happens, and we can take it from there.

Have you had someone that has experienced a problem like this ???
Expert:  Jason replied 1 year ago.

I have seen just about every problem known to man. But as of right now I have no idea what your engine is even doing. Chances are it's loosing either spark or fuel pressure. But you have to figure out which one it is missing before trying to figure out why it's missing it.
