I have a 2002 merc 90 2 stroke and my trim cylinder is cracked they want over $1000.00 just for parts . Can this cylinder be welded or is there anything else I can do ?

You would need a new (or used) unit. There is simply to much pressure inside of that housing that any kind of weld or epoxy wouldn't work. Did you have any further questions on the issue?
