With the fuel cap off you will have to pump the fuel tank to get all the water out of the fuel. This will require removing the fuel sending unit and pumping the fuel and water out through the opening. Get a long piece of copper tubing, some fuel hose and an electric fuel pump. Use the copper tube as a wand to access the lowest part of the fuel tank. Then connect the fuel hose to the tube and the pump to the hose. Pump the fuel out into a container. This is the way we do it when the fuel is contaminated. Be sure the fuel hose is long enough to get away from the tank and the gas fumes. Use a sealed fuel pump. Now if you don't have allot of water in the tank you can check the fuel filter. Dump the filter into a clear container look at the separation line between the fuel and water. If you have allot of water dump the filter and run the boat again check the filter again. Do you have allot of water or less water? You can do this procedure till you see no water in the fuel. After you have eliminated the majority of the water replace the filter use the boat. Check the filter periodically. Dpo you follow both procedures?
