Dominick I have a 2005 135 Optimax with idle problems after running on plane and coming

Customer Question

Dominick
I have a 2005 135 Optimax with idle problems after running on plane and coming to a stop. I have checked fuel pressures, replaced fuel filters, and yesterday installed new plugs all to specification. The motor runs very smooth in the beginning and after putting a load on it (on Plane 38-4-k) and coming to a idle it runs very rough and wants to stop completely. It starts fairly well but runs rough. I did check for water in the fuel but found none. Any ideas?

How is the acceleration of the engine? Smooth of sort of rough?
Has the flywheel cove been off for any reason recently?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The acceleration is just fine, very smooth. I am not sure what the flywheel cove is? Do you mean the cover which contains the air filter and connects to the air pump and throttle body? We did replace the belt but the symptoms were apparent before we replaced the cover.
Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.
Yes that was supposed to read cover.
Can you take it off then look at the throttle body. There should be a large rubber choke on it. It may also be stuck inside the cover.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'll have to have mu son look at that probably tomorrow, thanks. *****

Sounds good Jim. Tomorrow I will be online after 530 PM CST. I spend my day in a busy repair shop.

Charles - The Grommet is in fact there.
Expert:  Charles replied 1 year ago.
That is good. If you can run the engine at home on a hose, with the cover off, start it and allow it to run for a few minutes, then wiggle the 2 wires coming from the crank position sensor on the right side of the engine. Let me know if the engine stalls or cuts out for a second.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Evening Charles - Well we did exactly as you asked and wiggled the wires from the Crank Sensor and it continued to run smoothly no stalls or cut out. Still trying to determine what the cause is.

Is there any chance that you can take a vid of the engine so that I can see it and hear it?http://ww2.justanswer.com/help/how-do-i-send-photo-or-file-expert-0
