Customer Question

I have a glastron 247 with a5.7. Last week all was good. This week I can not get the key to start the boat. Any suggestions? I turn the key and nothing happens. I have the alarm and fuel pump working but when I turn the key nothing else takes place, does not even try to start!!

Hello my name is ***** ***** am I speaking with?
Which engine do you have in the boat, do you have a model/serial number on it?
Do you have a voltmeter and do you know how to take basic voltage measurements?
Are you near the boat now and ready to work?

The boat worked good last week but this week it will not even try to start

Well... without a meter there isn't much we can test. But lets start with this. Does the boat have an emergency stop switch clip, and if yes, is it in place?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes it is in place

Do this next. With 1 hand hold the key in the start position. With the other hand, wiggle the shifter handle back and forth, knocking it in and out of the neutral position. Is there any reaction from the engine?

No

Without a meter we are out of things to check, and at this point you will have to call somebody in. Is there anything specific I might be able to answer for you?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, thank you

Your welcome, good luck!
