Jeremy i have a 1996 sea doo gti that on trailer revs up fine

Jeremy i have a 1996 sea doo gti that on trailer revs up fine but in water will on rev up to mid range and speed along at a slow 20 mph max...i dont thinks its the pump az when i look back i can clearly see stream from jet nozzle but the engine does do up and downs on rpms

Sorry for the delay.
Will the engine rev all the way up while in the water?
If it will and you're just not going fast then the problem is in the pump.
It's probably a bad wear ring or damaged impeller.
Unless you have some weeds or some other debris sucked up in there.
Take a flashlight and look up through the intake grate and back into the pump and see if the front edges of the impeller are smooth and sharp.
Dings and dents will cause cavitation and loss of thrust.
Of course weeds, sticks, rocks etc will cause a loss of thrust as well.
Also take a look from the back.
Sometimes you can't see it well enough and you have to remove the nozzle.
