Hello, my name is***** you for allowing me to assist you today.
Does the engine shift normally into Rev and back to N?
What happens when you try to shift it?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
the motor will shift no problem from neutral to reverse and back but does not fully engage in forward. It is the digital control model.

Check your gear oil to make sure that it is full and has no metal or water in it.
Do you boat in salt water?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Yes
Expert:  Charles replied 2 years ago.
Yes you have checked the gear oil?
Or yes to salt water?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
yes to salt water. Have not pulled it out yet.
Expert:  Charles replied 2 years ago.
That would be the first place to look. With the boat out of the water you can do a more through inspection of the components.
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
Thanks I will do that in the morning.
