Hello,What fuel do you normally run, regular, high test and what is the compression of the engine, any other power modifications done to the engine?Capt Ron

Customer replied336 days and 3 hours ago.

super unleaded 93. elebrock torker intake with 750 elebrock single pumper carb. i think it is 10.1 compression. i order the high compression dish top pistons. they have total seal rings. holly high performance electric fuel pump with regulator. rewarder headers with no baffles.

Hello again, sounds like a good set-up,I would set the total timing at 33-34 degress, make a run and do a plug reading,i prefer to go a little conservative on the timing to be on the safe side.Hope this helped,Capt Ron

when you say total timing, do you mean with the engine reved up it should not go pass the 33-34? what should the plugs look like? Thanks for the advice,

Hello again, yes the total timing should be in at around 3000-3200RPM,and the plugs should be a light tan or grey in color,if they are solid white that is a lean condition, may need to jet the carba little fatter,if black in color,to much fuel. You need to make a full throttle run then shut down quikly, don't let it idle and then check the plugs.Hope this helped,Capt Ron
