What would cause my motor to put out more than 16 volts?I instaled

What would cause my motor to put out more than 16 volts?I instaled a new rectifier but it still charges more than 16 volts after 4000 rpm.At that time it blows the in line 30 amp fuse. Waiting for a reply.

Hello,I'm Capt Ron and will help you ,it would be the stator,under the flywheel,the rectifier has no charge regulating capacity,the stator works the igntion and the charging
