I have a big block with a Bravo outdrive. When I turn on the

I have a big block with a Bravo outdrive. When I turn on the igition I hear the engine make a single electronic click sound at the top back of the engine, and then there is not more sound. I do not hear the starter trying to turn the engine at all. I just pulled the starter, cleaned, and tested same. The start seems to spin well when powered on the bench. Do you know why the starter is not energizing?

Hello,it sounds like the slave solenoid,it is behind the carb on a bracket,it will have a large red wire and a yellow with red tracer wire on it,it gets power from the key switch then energizes the solenoid at the starter,West Marine and most Marine supply shops carry them.Hope this helped.Capt Ron
