I have a 90 up mercury that was running great until yesterday. Fuel does not seem to be getting to engine. Could this be a EFI issue?
Optional Information: Make (of engine): Mercury Model (of engine): 90 Year: 2008 Horsepower: 90 Already Tried: When choked it will run rough until it is pulled back into neutral.
It could be an EFI. But i'm confused by what you wrote. You wrote "When choked it will run rough until it is pulled back into neutral"
What do you mean by that? EFI engines do not have chokes.
.
Do you have the serial number on the engine handy, so I know exactly which one you have?

Thats not the serial number. The serial number will have 1 number, 1 letter, 6 more numbers.
For example;
0A123456
1B654321
It would be on a sticker on the clamp bracket.
But either way, EFI 4 stroke is close enough for me.
Now whats going on? Does it start and run? Did it die out on the water on you? Whats up with it?

Got the serial.
Now whats up with the engine? Be as descriptive as you can.
No, it does not run! It ran fine until yesterday. Docked for lunch and it would not crank. Battery is fine and motor turns over fine but will not fire off. When throttle is fully engaged, it will try to run but chokes itself out! Pretty strong smell of gas when it cuts off.
If you push the throttle to wide open it will try to start, is that correct?
How old are the spark plugs in it? Are they new, or old and fouled?
