I have sail drive with three cylinder volvo penta motors and the oil in the gear box is a little milky and I think I need seals, where can I get them I'm at the shelter bay marina in Panama close to the city of Colon, Panama. What size seal and where can I get it?
Thank you for using our site, My name is XXXXX XXXXX X will be helping you with your problem.
What is the model number of the sail drive?
it has the sail drive appropriate for theMD2020Cdoes that help?could it be 120S-E?
Does it look like this? The seals consist of two # XXXXX's and two # XXXXX's.

So I guess what your saying is that if I don't think we've solved the problem yet and rate you before we're don't you'll just quit? How about you wait until we finish the job so I can give you a good rating that YOU HAVE EARNED and not give you a POOR RATING PREMATURELY and allow you to fail....how THAT for an idea!
Also, as far as I can see the seal does NOT look like the o ring type part in your illustration, it is thicker and has actual sides....sort of a hollowed out U
The seal is actually called a "quad-ring" But after years of people not knowing what that was, or thinking I was making that name up to make it sound more expensive than it really was, I just call it what, to date, you are the only person who has ever mentioned that it doesn't look like an O-ring.
The two parts numbered 15 are not O-rings. They are metal housings with the rubber sealing surfaces just like any other mechanical seal you may see on a sinning shaft.
Take a look at the diagram below, Does this one look more like what you have?
The parts list and diagram can bee seen at the link below as well.
