Just hooked up my battery to my 3L Mercruiser engine.When I press the up and down buttons to raise or lower the leg, nothing happens.

The trim has it's own battery cables check that you connected them when you connected the engine cables. These cables are smaller than the engine cables about the diameter of a pencil red and black.

I did hook these cables up as well as they are cabled to the main battery cables.
Is there a relay or somethng gone?
There is a fuse on the trim pump where the solenoids are located, inline 20 amp fuse.
as I am a novice, when would I find this on the engine?
Left side right side?
Would it be near the back or front?
What other part is it close too?

Follow the battery cables they will take you to the trim pump. The pump should be right near the battery. The trim pump is mounted next to the engine not on the engine.Tan Partin41042.8950018171
Ok I will try this but will be next weekend..
If everthing is fine there what would be your final conclusion?
Solenoids gone or should I take apart the throttle and see if there is any corrosion?

If everything worked before you removed the battery then that is it. Be sure you have both positive and negative battery cables connected. To many times the battery gets removed that the cables don't get connected correctly.
Here is the thing though.. the blower works, horn and all the other electronics so would that not tell me I hooked the battery up correctly?
Those are on a different circuit. There is 3 sets of cables on the battery engine, trim and boat accessories. Thats why I keep telling you it's the battery cables as the battery is the only thing that has changed. Do you have 3 cables on the positive terminal of the battery? Same with the negative.

One cable had fallen to the side!
