I have a 2000 Johnson 115hp on a 691 ranger and had it out today for the first time (yes the gas is fresh) it ran great all morning then later in the day started to run ruff under full power. Felt like it was maybe starving for fuel and cutting out a little. This is a new boat to me so I don't know the history. Any suggestions on what to check first?
Optional Information: Make (of engine): Johnson Year: 2000 Horsepower: 115
First check for spark on all cylinders it could not have spark or the spark plugs could have fouled, when you check spark pull the plugs also and look at them
it is a J 90, 115 60degree V4 #4782082Year is a 2000
thats not the model number, but let me see what i can dig up
model # XXXXX XXXXX
Check for spark first and change the plugs if they are black and oilyNext try pumping the primer bulb when it starts to cut out, if it picks up the fuel pump is bad and or their is air leaks in the fuel system
