Suzuki 4 stroke 140 outboard I have a 4 stroke Suzuki 140

This answer was rated:

I have a 4 stroke Suzuki 140 out board. Runs fine at low RPM when you accelerate over 5000 RPM the motor bogs down and sputters. I have repalced the fuel lines, the fuel pump I have run the engine out of a different tank, cleaned the fuel filter. If you manuelly pump the ball in high RPM the engine continues to run fine.Anyone have any other ideas?
Hi, and thank you for letting me try and assist you with your problem.
Which fuel pump did you replace?
How about all the filters and screens. Even the one in the vst tank.
If you changed the low and high pressure fuel pumps and cleaned or replaced all the filters and screens, then my next move would be the fuel pressure regulator.

The vst tank is a vapor separator tank. It's on the motor. It's an aluminum little sort of square tank.
The fuel goes through it and is filtered before it goes to the high pressure pump.
