My starboard drive will not engage into forward. Reverse works.

Customer Question

My starboard drive will not engage into forward. Reverse works. pulling out of the marina it seemed to hesitate then kicked in rather hard, but after running (cruising speed) for 45 minutes, once I slowed and shifted into N it would not engage again. Only reverse worked. I have Bravo 3's, 1998 on 30' cruisers..Hours are about 350.

I am trying to get an idea of the problem prior the service shop looking at it after the Holiday. Thanks

Welcome, it is the shift cable that needs an adjustment or your drive fluid is low, i would check the oil first if full either you need the adjustment or a new cable
