We have a 1985 Mark Twain Sonic 160-Open Bow-2.5 4 cyl.140 HP and think we need fluid to make the trim go up and down. Just started using the boat. It worked the first time out, but now we are having difficulty. Would this be transmission fluid that would work like hydraulic fluid?
Hi. Yes you can use ATF (transmission fluid), fill the tank & cycle the outdrive up & down & recheck the fluid level & top off if needed & look for leaks around the lines inside & ouside the boat & repair as required. I hope this helps. Good luck & if I can be of any further help please contact me. Please accept my answer & thanks.
