I have a 1999 Mercruiser 4.3l Alpha engine, serial # XXXXX

Customer Question

I have a 1999 Mercruiser 4.3l Alpha engine, serial # XXXXX that I think needs an ignition control module. The module on it now is an 861251-1. I see new modules with P/N 861251T1 and 861252T1, which is for a Bravo outdrive but it's the same engine, and also a conversion kit with a 861251-1 module to upgrade to the newer modules. Will any of these work on my engine?

Hello,

Yes, Both the 861251T1 and 861252T1 will work.

Does the 861252T1 have a rev limiter like the 861251T1?
