It is an 2011 X5 3.0Diesel Xdrive. There is a loud noise

Customer Question

Hi , It is an 2011 X5 3.0Diesel Xdrive. There is a loud noise only when the a/c is on, I think it is the compressor turning on and off. Sometimes the noise stays even after turning off the car.
JA: Are you fixing your X5 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: nothing yet
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Can you please describe the noise?
Customer: replied 3 months ago.
It is a metallic grinding high pitch noise, like a damaged bearing or something. The strange thing is that the noise stays even after I turn off the car.

how long does it last after turning the engine off? where on the car does it come from?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
it last about 30 seconds maybe a bit more. It comes from the right front side, I would say either it comes from behind the wheel or between the wheel and the passenger door.

I was able to get the error code : 005F9A and I got the error on the dashboard as well. It is apparently the compressor for the rear suspension auto leveling system.
