Have a 2010 BMW 335D with code 493F "Pre-Supply - Pressure

Customer Question

Have a 2010 BMW 335D with code 493F "Pre-Supply - Pressure Sensor - signal" I need to know where to look to diagnose this

It sounds like you have a wiring issue at the pressure sensor. This is a common issue I would shake the harness near the connector to see if the fault goes away. If so you will need a new wiring harness.

You sure you're referring to the diesel? There is no pressure sensor on the car that I can find. Just a fuel heater and fuel temp sensor. This is why I'm having so much trouble

There is a pressure sensor on the fuel rail of a M57.

but that is not "pre-supply". Plus that would greatly affect how the car runs which my code isn't doing

I do know the fuel rail sensor has a whole set of its own codes
