2008 BMW E70 3.0si. I get the iDrive screen and instrument

Customer Question

2008 BMW E70 3.0si. I get the iDrive screen and instrument cluster warnings for ABS/DSC/AWD intermittantly. Replaced 7 year old battery, registered it. Warnings still occur. Checked faults with BMW Carly app and got these:
Engine / Motor:
- Fault: Vehicle speed
- Code: 002F4F
Dynamische Stabilitaets Kontrolle / DSC:
- Fault: Wheel-VL
- Code: 005E24
Hand brake / Feststellbremse (EMF):
- Fault: unkown failure
- Code: 006022
Transmission / Getriebesteuerung:
- Fault: VGSG wheel Notlaufregelung activated. No DXC desired torque setting
- Code: 0055C3
- Fault: CAN message
- Code: 0055C6
I can clear these and run the car for a day or a week and they stay cleared until the warnings all pop up again.

hello, what question would you like answered about his?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm looking for some guidance on how to address the faults and determining what might be causing the intermittent warnings that pop up on the iDrive and instrument cluster.
Expert:  Steve replied 1 year ago.

this would most likely be due to a faulty ABS/DSC control module based on what you have described.

Expert:  Steve replied 1 year ago.

it could also be voltage related or possibly a faulty wheel speed sensor but you would need to have the codes read a few times to see if they are changing or remaining consistent over time.

The same codes show up every time this happens. If it's voltage related, what's the best way to analyze that?

I monitored it on a long drive and saw it fluctuate between 13.5 and 13.8.
