I have a '94 325i and had the battery changed. The radio code had to be input but I wrongly used the program button three times with the code and it did not take. Now I am told by the dealer that nothing can be done with the radio. I don't accept this. There must be a way to re-enter the code for the radio to work. They tried waiting an hour between inputting the code again to no avail. What can I do to fix this?ThanksGreg

even if you expected more in terms of good news, please do not select a poor rating option as it PUNISHES ME for my honest answer.
the way to reset this radio, to get it to take the code again, is the following:
unhook car's battery for 30min
reconnect and then turn the key to the second position, and wait 2 hours. you will need to put the car on a charger for this time, or the battery will drain (also turn off AC system, etc, but make sure radio is on)
after 2 hours of sitting with ignition on, if it still won't take the code, then the radio has an internal fault and will need to be replaced, as the dealer said - there is no other reset procedure unfortunately. if it comes to this, you should be able to get an inexpensive replacement on ebay, or upgrade to something more modern at a car audio shop, best buy, etc
Remember, a low rating PUNISHES me for my honesty - thanks.
