i have a 2003 bmw X-5. i hear a pooping noise everytime a start from a stop and as soon as the truck is up to speed it goes away. it almost sounds like a cv axel noise, but i replaced both of them a year ago and it doesnt happen in a turn. and i checked them also. if i accelerate very slow to full speed it doesnt happen, but if a go as nornmal it happens every time. i cant pinpoint which side its coming from.HELP!!!!!! lol

Hi there,Can you describe the noise in more detail? Is it a clicking or clunking noise? Does it sound rotational, or does it happen once when driving off? Is it coming from the front or rear of the vehicle? Did you replace the axles with oem or aftermarket when they were replaced a year ago?-JP
the sound is only when the wheels are turning and only when accelerating from a stop or when you slow way down and start accelerating again. its more like a clicking noise like a bad cv axle, i replaced them with aftermarket but thats not were the noise is coming from. i believe it from the front or close
How are you certain that the noise is not from the front axle joint? Do you have a chassis ear that you can place on the vehicle front end so you can pinpoint where the noise is derived from?-JP
im not 100% certain the noise is coming from there, but i know it only making the noise when im accelerating from a stop. i know its not the transmission. and i know its not the cv axels. it has to be in the drive train. what else is left? does it have a drive shaft?
Yes, it has 2 driveshafts, one from the transfer case to the front differential, and one from the transfer case to the rear differential. I would start by removing the front driveshaft and test drive the vehicle, this will elimate the front driveshaft and transfer case output as a possible cause of the noise.-JP
