Sometimes voltage fluctuations can cause strange things to fail.
It can be a good idea to remove the battery prior to charging as well, since I don't like to trust inexpensive chargers hooked up directly to a car.
do I need to pay for this answer again as it was a follow-up on the first question. Did not expect this otherwise would have rolled it into the first question.
