Customer Question

I have a 2006-2007 X3 Osi SAV. What Verizon mobile phone is compatible. The newer ones don't work or do they?

Country: United States
Make: BMW
Model: X3 3.0SI
Year: 2007

Already Tried:
I have steering wheel Bluetooth and overhead speaker. I tried a newer version of Verizon a few years ago and it didn't work. I still have my Motorola Razer, that I bought in 2007 and it still works, but can I get an upgrade to work with my vehicle, or am I stuck with it?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer BMW,

My name is XXXXX XXXXX it will be my pleasure to assist you today.

Almost any newer phone should work just fine. That is the beauty of bluetooth, it is nearly universal.

With that said, BMW does have an "official" list of known compatible phones, which you can find here: CLICK HERE TO VIEW

Once you go to the site, you can put in your vehicle's info and see what phones have been tested.

Again though, pretty much any phone should work for you. It is rare that one does not.

I hope that is helpful, please let me know if you have further questions, or if I can clarify anything for you.

It has been my pleasure to help today and I wish you the best of luck with the vehicle.

If satisfied with my assistance, please press the green "ACCEPT" button so that I may be credited for helping today. I am not credited or compensated whatsoever until you press the green ACCEPT button.

thank you in advance.

Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX I'm still confused. I tried a Verizon upgrade about a year ago. It didn't work. It connected me with my Emergency BMW line 2 times, and I tried to explain my situation to them. So I disconnected it and reconnected my Motorola Razer I've had since 2007 when I purchased the vehicle. I went to the page you recommended. I put in my VIN number and learned it is an X3 3.0SI, manufactured in 2006. Also, I received this message: "0 devices/ no mobile phone has been tested for your vehicle." I looked at all the wireless carriers. Seems they're confused as I am and I'm back to square one!

Not sure what to say about the BMW website, but any phone should connect via blue tooth. You may need to have the system updated at BMW with the latest software, or possibly verify that you are using the correct paring procedure.

Again, ANY phone should work no problem, BlackBerry, iPhone, etc. If they won't pair, there is a problem with the vehicle's bluetooth system or an incorrect pairing procedure is being used.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Since I have answered your question, I would kindly ask that you please press "ACCEPT" so that I receive credit for doing so.

thank you in advance.
