P0171,System Too Lean (Bank 1)P0174,System Too Lean (Bank 2)
p1085, Fuel Control Mixture Lean (Bank 2 Sensor 1)p1083, Fuel Control Mixture Lean (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P1347 Misfire Cylinder 3 with Fuel Cut-Offf
P1345 Misfire Cylinder 2 With Fuel Cut-off
OK based on the fault codes your have stored we will start with P1085 & P1083 Mixture too lean bank # XXXXX & 2.
These fault codes can be set due to serveral items the most likely cause is from the intake boot being torn. As you can see in the pictures I posted.
And this is very easy to check yourself.
These faults can also be set by the Mass Airflow Sensor being bad causing a Lean mixture.
But the only true way to verify if the MAF is causing the lean condition is by making sure there are no air leaks such as the torn intake boot.
If there are no air leaks then the MAF sensor is the most likely cause.
As far as the misfires go these can be caused by air leaks or a bad MAF.
where is the maf located
Did they tell you they were only replacing the MAF?
do you have a pic
