HI ,I HAVE A BMW 3 SERIES TOURER,THE KEY ONLY WORKS SOMETIMES TO OPEN THE CAR,WHICH I COULD LIVE WITH BUT THE BARREL IN THE DOOR JUST SPINS SO I CANT LOCK THE CAR OR RESET THE KEY AND THEN SOMETIMES THE WINDOWS GO DOWN ON THEIR OWN AND THEY CAN NOT BE CLOSED UNTIL THEY DO IT ON THEIR OWN...ANY IDEAS? THANKS

I have dealt with this scenario many times. I would first recommend to purchase another key for safety reasons. It sounds like the key remote is beginning to fail. The tumbler is not made to be used constantly and can lead to the failure you describe.
There is a hall sensor inside the door latch that the key tumbler has a rod that goes into this unit. When it fails it can make the vehicle think it is being comfort opened and the windows will go down on there own.
To correct this the tumbler and door latch mechanism should be replaced.
