I have a musket stamped London on the barrel with some proof

Customer Question

I have a musket stamped London on the barrel with some proof marks and what looks like a Wilson name engraved on it, possibly a conversion - any thoughts?

There is a dragon on the left side of the stock opposite the firing mechanism that looks like it forms some sort of brace to hold the firing mechanism in place with the pins going through to the other side - the dragon encompasses the three bolt heads that hold it together.

There is also some lettering engraved before the word London - hard to make out but looks like the last letters are RRILS.
There is a crown stamp with a six pointed star below it and below that are what looks like R1 and below that is another stamp that has some sort of design possibly a crown with a V under it.
