Customer Question

About 5 hours ago, we found our young pet bird, a conure in the toilet with head halfway underwater. Eyes were open at that time but not moving. Kept him warm and went unconscious with heavy fluid in lungs breathing and still had haertbeat. Now eyes open for at least couple of hours, but feet lifeless, not standing up or moving. Coughed couple times, barely fluttered couple times. Been over 5 hours now. No one will let me bring him or talk to vet bc a bird.

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. May I have an update on Jacque, please? I understand your logistical constraints. These birds needs to be placed in a warmed oxygen chamber in a hospital setting. Ancillary care is supportive - antibiotics and subcutaneous fluids to prevent dehydration. Their prognosis is very guarded to grave.

My condolences for your loss of Jacque. I appreciate your taking the time to let me know. You may receive an inappropriate follow-up from the site ostensibly sent by me. It wasn't and I apologize in advance should you receive it.
