Hi my parakeet bird has broken his leg we have consult a vet doc but he was not specialist in avian however he has wrapped a bandage over his leg i want yo know how much time will take ti joint the leg and in how many days we have to again do the bandage

I am sorry to hear this has happened to your bird. Fractures typically take 4-8 weeks minimum to heal. Many times it can take a bit longer. Bandage changes should typically occur every 4-7 days, unless the bandage gets dirty quickly, in which case it should be changed more frequently. Hopefully your little bird will be feeling better soon. Many times they can make a full recovery, but it just takes some time. Please feel free to reply back if you need any further information.
