Customer Question

Hi! I don't have a Parakeet, but an African Grey Parrot, she ingested some of my dogs food Pedigree ground chicken, I know the chicken is ok, however there is zinc and copper according to the label ...I don't have a Avian Vet in the area... It looks like she played in it, but i'm sure she ingested as well..I need to know whether to worry or not..thanks

You needn't worry. The zinc and copper aren't in a form that would be toxic to Ketah. I feed my birds dog and cat food as treats.

Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.

I understand. African Greys need both zinc and copper in their diet!
