I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. We don't have many avian-oriented vets on the site. While I'm conservative about prescribing antibiotics for my dog and cat patients who are expected to remiss unaided, I will prescribe antibiotics whenever signs of respiratory infection arise in my bird patients - conjunctivitis, swollen sinuses, sneezing, nasal discharge. coughing, and increased respiratory rate. I encourage having an avian-oriented vet (please see here: www.aav.org) examine Bella and prescribe a broad spectrum antibiotic with which you would dose Bella directly into his beak for 10 consecutive days. Please avoid over the counter antibiotics designed to be placed in Bella's water. They aren't effective. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.

Hi,
I'm just following up on our conversation about Bella. How is everything going?
