I have a white pigeon that i resqued from a hawk about three years ago -she lives in the house in a very large cage and is quiet happy-recently i'v been finding a gnat type bug in her cage evey morning-they are very fast and sometimes when i kill one it has blood in it-i've emptied the cage and washed the whole thing down-changed out food changed out her corn cob on the bottom of the cage and still they keep coming back-ive looked on her and dont actually see anything-are they on her or in her maybe???

These are flat flies, and can be serious parasites and carry disease. They are on her, and so fast that they "disappear" . A flea powder safe for puppies and kittens can be used. Ditch the corn cob and just use newspaper or paper towels and change it every day.
