Is this at the base of the beak or farther down? Is it a flake? Is it indented? Can you describe this band in more detail?

NO INDENT AND STARTS ABOUT WHERE THE BOTTOM BEAK STARTS MAY A 1/4 IN WISE ON TOP TAPERING DOWN ON EACH SIDE---LOOKS NORMAL JUST NEVER SEEN ONE

It is probably just a normal line that forms with birds that do not make a living in the wild. Sometimes a ridge will form that in wild circumstances would be worn off with feeding activities. If it catches food or seems to worsen, I would suggest a visit to an avian vet for evaluation and possible shaping.

LOCAL BIRD VET I JUST LOCATED SAYS I NEED TO IMPROVE DIET WITH SOME VITAMINS,THEREFORE YOUR ANSWER IS UN ACCEPTABLE. THANKS ANYWAY
