Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy),
There are many references which support spending time often with the Lord and studying His Word.
The sons of Korath declare that spending just one day with the Lord is better than 1000 days anywhere else:
Psa 84:10 One day spent in your Temple is better than a thousand anywhere else; I would rather stand at the gate of the house of my God than live in the homes of the wicked.
In Acts, we see an example of the people in Berea daily studying the Old Testamament (because the New Testament was still being written) to prove that they were hearing the truth from Paul.
Act 17:11 The people there were more open-minded than the people in Thessalonica. They listened to the message with great eagerness, and every day they studied the Scriptures to see if what Paul said was really true.
Timothy is advised that all of scripture is useful:
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living,
2Ti 3:17 so that the person who serves God may be fully qualified and equipped to do every kind of good deed.
Because the Bible is God's Word, we are encouraged to listen to it:
Heb 3:15 This is what the scripture says: "If you hear God's voice today, do not be stubborn, as your ancestors were when they rebelled against God."
John tells us that Jesus is the Word of God.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 From the very beginning the Word was with God.
Joh 1:3 Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him.
Joh 1:4 The Word was the source of life, and this life brought light to people.
and
Joh 1:14 The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father's only Son.
John also tells us Jesus is the Bread of Life:
Joh 6:35 "I am the bread of life," Jesus told them. "Those who come to me will never be hungry; those who believe in me will never be thirsty.
Jesus taught his disciples to pray:
Luk 11:3 Give us day by day the food [bread in some translations] we need.
