Question

Question on marraige and divorce in the eyes of the church.

Sent to General Experts September 14, 2006 5:01 p.m.

Me and my boyfriend have been living as husband and wife for about 5 years. He has 2 daughters and so do I, and they all live with us. We both have recently given our hearts to the Lord and know we were living wrong. He now sleeps next door at his mothers house and me and the girls sleep here at home. Him and his wife never divorced even though they both committed adultry. He is now in the process of getting a divorce and has ask me to marry him when it is final. Our question is that we have understood the bible to say that it is wrong for him to remarry. Is this correct? And will he be able to have a place in the church? We are very concerned and have been praying often about this because we have took two families and made them into one. We feel like we have a lot to lose, but we don't want and won't go against God and what is right. Can you please help us with this problem. May God Bless You and Thank You.
