The Bible and Christianity -
The Bible is the central and only source of information that is given
to man directly from God. It outlines God's Requirements for man
to acheive his approval and also gives information as to what his
purpose for the earth is. According to the Book of Deuteronomy
intrepretations of the bible should be done by the bible itself.
God has promised that those who wish to understand the bible will be
given his holy spirit for help and guidance.
The Torah and Judaism -
The Torah is the the first five books of the Bible - also known as the
Pentateuch . They are also considered to be inspired of
God. They provide the Jewish people with the Law that God
prescribed to Moses - also known as the Mosaic Law. The
interpretation of that law is left to the preists, or Rabbi's as they
are called now.
The Quran and Islam -
The Quran was written by Mohammed and is believed to be a recounting of
a message from God given to him through the angel Gabriel.
The word Quran means recitation and many of the suras (or chapters)
include the command to recite. The Quran outlines the Five
Pillars of muslim faith and dictate the requirements of God.
Interpration is left open and the Quran has undergone some changes throughout history.
Hope this helps
