I have lower abdominal pain now for 30 hours which was preceded by diarrhea.This not gas pain ,which I am familiar with.Worse when I walk and comes and goes in severity. I am A 56 yearold male. I also have cramping in the anus,which comes and goes. I am Not constipated.Tender to the touchas well center ed about 3 inches below the navel. Missed work today Any thoughts?
This is Dr. David. sounds most likely like pain from enteritis or colitis which is inflammation of the colon from diarrhea. usually this colitis gets better on its own. if it doesn't get better in a few days, you can see a doctor for some medications to help calm down the inflammation of your colon and anus.
I also have a 100 .5 degree fever just a coincidence

oh, I'm sorry. you are right. I confused you with a couple I was helping.you could have your low grade fever from enteritis from the diarrhea that you had.it the ab pain and sore bottom should get better in a few days. try to eat bland foods like toast, rice, bananas, crackers for now unti you get better.
