How to file bankruptcy that includes the costs of being a victim of crime.

Filing bankruptcy is relatively straight forward. You can do it yourself (without an attorney) but I don't recommend it as you are not going to get the maximum benefit from your bankruptcy discharge. (See: http://www.uscourts.gov/services-forms/bankruptcy/filing-without-attorney). Most bankruptcy attorneys are very affordable, and they can assist you with good pre-bankruptcy planning as well as help you ensure that you get all of your schedules completed and filed properly.

(I am not sure what the issue is detailing your costs of being a crime victim, but if you are the victim, this is usually an asset (as opposed to a liability) and will be scheduled as part of your assets in your petition).
