If you have a Writ of attachment, the attachment will be on all your property in Massachusetts. So, you cannot sell the property without paying off the writ.

Does it matter if someone elses name is ***** ***** deed in addition to mine?
Expert:  Phillips Esq. replied 1 year ago.

No, it does not matter. Any attachment must be paid off as part of the closing.

What about a refi?
Expert:  Phillips Esq. replied 1 year ago.

Same thing. The attachment must be paid off as part of the refi.
