I am currently looking into filing a chapter 13. I have health issues, lost my job,got disability and am now facing foreclosure. I would like to keep my house if I can.Any suggestions?
A chapter 13 filing would stop any sale and foreclosure for some time, usually 4-7 months, however eventually the case will be dismissed if you cannot make payment to the chapter 13 plan or to the home mortgage.

To delay any foreclosure, try to fight the case in Civil Court by filing an answer to the complaint, the Judge may try to force a settlement.
