We are right now under Chapter 13 for 4 years and supposed to be discharged in a year. Due to unavoidable circumstances we faltered our mortgage payments for several months. My question is can I apply for a refinancing even we are under chapter 13. Our mortgage rate when we took the house was 6.25%. If we could refinance and lower the interest rate it would be a big help for us especially now that we have reduced income.
Hello Val,

Thank you so much for opening a new question and directing that question to me.

Yes you can apply for refinancing while under a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. That said, you will need bankruptcy court approval in order to complete the refinance.
