Bankruptcy Law Questions? Ask a Bankruptcy Lawyer Now.
Hi - my name is XXXXX XXXXX I'm a Bankruptcy attorney here to assist you.
In most cases a discharge is issued in 4 months after a Bankruptcy is filed.
You will receive notice of the discharge in the mail.
You can also find out from the clerk at the Bankruptcy court if your discharge has already been issued. However, it is unlikely that it will be issued before the beginning of June.
I knew that. I want to know where I can look to see that it is in process and when the discharge will appear.
The trustee processes the discharge.
The trustee is the only one with that information. Until the trustee issues the discharge to the Bankruptcy court, there is no way to know how much longer it will take.
